I have renewed my home and I want to make a cool retro gaming configuration with those devices:
- LED TV (with HDMI and SCART)
- Home theater 5.1 (with optical input)
- Nintendo SNES
- Nintendo 64
- Nintendo Gamecube
- Nintendo Wii
- Microsoft Xbox360
- Desktop computer
Since there are a lot of consoles, I wonder which one is the best way to connect all of them to the LED tv and output the audio to the 5.1 system. Does anyone have already a similar setup and can help me?
EDIT: I have to buy the TV and the 5.1 yet, but as far I have seen, the TV models sold on those days usually have 2 or 3 HDMI connectors and 1 SCART. Usually the TV has an optical output that should forward the sound to the 5.1 home theater. I want to buy the TV and the 5.1 to fit my needs to connect everything together.
