Nurburgring start/finish line

In real life, the Nurburgring Start line is in a different position from the Finish line.

However at least in the newest Gran Turismo 5 (GT5), the game sets the Start/Finish line at the same place. What is the reason for this?

You could see how this could affect lap times, if you were to compare real life times with game times.
