cannot get Skyrim to load on pc

ok so ive been playing Skyrim for about a month, havent had any problems except for having to change my audio to 48000 hz. and now for some reason the game wont load. The game starts up all the way to the point where i can click continue to load the saved game, but it will not load my saved file.. any advice?

(the only thing i've done to my computer since i last played it was updated my Bios)

its a non-steam version of Skyrim (torrent downloaded)
