What's considered similar weapons in torchlight 2

What is considered "similar weapons" in torchlight two to make sure I get the execute bonus of hitting with both weapons at once? Does similar mean any combination of two one handed melee weapons or one handed ranged weapons - or would it have to be more specific like two one handed swords were say a one handed sword and a one handed axe won't give you the bonus?
